The Black Swan Method is my go-to for communication; it's like a graduate degree in connecting with people. Traditional methods fell short, but this approach is simple, natural, and creates genuine connections in all aspects of my life. It's an essential skill that's made a significant impact, whether I'm talking to family, clients, or strangers.

Negotiation and effective communication is my superpower now, though, thanks to Never Split the Difference, so during all of this chaos since April, I have managed to win court cases, protect my children, and was recently hired to be the Online Business Manager of the publishing company that made me a #1 Best-Selling Author in 2022.

I’ve been in business since 1990 and have done very well over the years. To be honest, I came into this thinking there probably wasn’t much left to change or add—I thought I had it all figured out. But wow… I was humbled and surprised. This program has challenged me in the best way. It’s tough, yes—but I can already see that it’s absolutely worth it

My name is Christopher I am a Probation and Parole officer in South Florida, the state of Florida supervises on average 144,000 offenders per year. We manage offenders from almost every demographic. The cases we supervise stem from criminal cases from first time DUI cases to capital sex offenses and Murder. Or job is both to assist people with re entry into society and enforce the law. I didn’t realize it but I engage in high stakes negotiation every day, I was failing at my job before I understood this reality. The individuals we supervise struggle with addiction, poverty, mental health disorders, lack of resources, or a simple unwillingness to change their behavior. I read Never Split the difference during the peak of the Covid Pandemic when corrections as a whole was in crisis. After I shifted my thinking to start with no and empathizes tactically, my job became easier, I experienced an increase in the number of cases I had complete their supervision successfully, rather than return to incarceration. I know there are individuals out there who have been able to return to a normal life because of what I learned about negotiating from Chris Voss.
